Almost 13 months in Egypt serving with the first UNEF Peace Keeping mission, as a radio technician attached to the 56th RECCE Armored Corps Squadron; from February 1957 to March 1958!.
We lived in makeshift tents and I sleep in the front seat of my large 2 1/2 ton Truck Radio repair shop for the first three months!. It was safe from poisonous snakes and large spiders!.
After 3-4 months we built wooden frames for the tents and a stove for winter!.
I slept in tents all along the Gaza strip, and at three other smaller base camps along the the border between Israel and Egypt!.

2 nights, 2 1/2 days!. we went to bathurst 1000 for the v8 supercars a couple of years ago!. dont think you can call it proper camping tho, between the lot of us we managed to take a generator, a tv, a slushie maker, 2 fridges, a hair straightener, a big deluxe style bbq with the hood and everything, plus all the normal camping stuff!. i even took one of my birds as i was handrearing it and couldnt leave it at home alone, it was too young! we did sleep in a tent tho, does that count!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
3 months of motorcycle camping around the 48 States!. I had a ball and great weather and met a lot of wonderful people!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
