k skateboarding takes practice!. you wont have a good ollie down for at least a month of commited skating!. so its normal that you dont have it down yet!. practice it standing still first!.
heres how to ollie
1!. put your back foot on the tail, front foot in the middle of the board
2!. stomp your back foot down and jump, propelling the board up vertically
3!. at the same time, slide your front foot forward on the board to even your feet out in the air
keep practicing, thats my best tip for you!. keep skating every day and it will eventually fall into place

It is completely normal with the whole timing thing; it is about timing!. But I think the whole reason to it was that you are still a beginner and just got lucky!. Skateboarding is something that needs time and perseverance!. And you must learn all the basics and stance before trying to land an ollie!. I know I shouldn't even be talking because I know I am not a skateboarder but my brother has been skating for 8 years now!. I do love it and have tried but failed to skate, and I am a fan of the whole sport!. Anyway there are great ollie tutorials if you really want to perfect it, I'm sure you will be able to find it on youtube!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
yes, it is completely normal, just make sure that when you tap the tail of the board down , the foot that you dont push with slides up and pushes the front of the board down, i had the same problem when i first started skating, (even though i stopped when i split my sack open) =(Www@Enter-QA@Com
