Those who choose option 2 tend to be very shortsighted and pleasure driven (forgive my language)!.
Do they even realize that they are still affected by time and aging!? The older you get, the harder its gonna be to find these continuous, short lived sex partners, until you finally end up middle aged, unmarried, and alone with little to no hope of change!.
The thrill of sex wears off, and lust fades with time; but things like commitment, trust, loyalty, open communication, and forgiveness can all work towards building a relationship that transcends mere physical attraction, and that can last for the rest of your life, even into old age!.

Sex is only part of the equation of a successful relationship!. Sex should be spontaneous!. Happiness with/without is the successful part

are you sure we have to choose from these options!?!? Neither sounds particularly attractive to me!! i'd rather have a relationship with someone who loves me first and foremost, than with someone who just wants me for sex!.

I'm having a similar deilemma at the moment - although not so much sex with anyone I want!.!.!. just one person in particular!.
I want a loving happy relationship AND hot sex with that person!
But if I could only choose between the two things you suggested, I'd go for the relationship, even if it was sexless!. I'd rather have love with no sex than sex with no love!.
