Hi there!.!.!.whoaaaaaaaaaaa this is NOT an easy one!.!.!.!.I searched d AND searched the net and found that w/ regard to cleaning boas!.!.!.!.specifically 'untreated by protectant feathers' you do NOT use water!.!.!.!.as there is NO innate or any longer an inborn sebaceous system in which to protect the feathers!.!.and in Boa form they are incredibly vulnerable!.!.!.!.however what was said in a nutshell is to turn the boa upside down and fluff it, blow dry on cool from a distance!.!.!.and though i saw recommendations for different chemicals they all seemed far too invasive!.!.!.!.so I feel that were it me in your Lady Godiva Shoes (or lack of for that matter!.!.!.but nm!.!.!.ahem!.!.!.) I would do the upside down airing out thing and use 'From a Distance' Ozium' which you can get at car washes to get the smell of nicotine or pot out of a car or a room!.!.!.Ozium comes in two forms!.!.!.!.spray!.!.which is your optimum or a small vial of drops!.!.where in ONE DROP in a bathroom will soak up the scents!.!.!.!.be careful with the liquid (which you aren't using anyway) as it will eat up just about anything so u must use it on ceramic!.!.!.but with the spray!.!.!.!.you are far more likely to (again From A Distance) smite the smoke so to speak!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I also recommend using Febreeze as it is very fresh and then continue to air out!.!.!.all of this should take no longer than a couple of hours!.!.!.IF you have ANY sunshine!.!.!.please let it lay over something in the sun as well!.!.!.!.as the sun will break down any residual scents that perhaps you are not even aware of!.!.!.!.body, perfumes etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Rather hard, if it were me I would put the boa into a lingerie bag, wash in washer on delicate with cold water, you can hand wash also, but I like the washer spin to ring out excess!. I have washed feathers, because of allergies!. They fluff a bit!. I have washed fur also!. I always wash leather and suede!. Feathers get wet in the wild, what do you think will happen if they get wet in the wash!. Only risk is to how they are joined to the boa, and I think a lingerie bag will lessen stress from washer agitation!. If you are not enjoying it, wash it!. Feathers might fluff a bit at the base of feather!. This should get rid of the cig smell, use any liquid detergent, woolite preferred not required!. Hang dry!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Buy the dryel kit at any supermarket or drug store, it works great and won't damage the boa
