Does it annoy you when you're asked to fill out a form describing your ethnicity that the only box that is close is marked " White British " !?
I always tick other and put English in as white British isn't an ethnic group !.
Example !. A friend of mine was born in Britain to Italian parents !.He is British , he is white but ethnically he is Italian !.

Your friend is Italian, since both of his parents are Italian!. Usually he has to wait till he's 15 for him to get a British passport if his parents are not citizens of the UK!.

I agree!. And it isn't just that!
Recently my partner was asked to fill in a form when applying for a job, and the "sex" had the following options;
!.) Homosexual Male
!.) Homosexual Female
!.) Bisexual Male
!.) Bisexual Female
!.) Transgenic Male
!.) Transgenic Female
!.) Other
It is of course possible that the idiot who compiled the form thought that Bisexual and Heterosexual were the same, but the fact remains, that they only wanted to know your actual gender if you were in some way "deviant"!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

your friend would be Italian British but he would consider himself more Italian than British there lots of different ethnic groups in Britain English Irish Scottish Northern Irish and Welsh and other ethnic groups like Italian German and Scandinavian British isn't a ethnic groupWww@Enter-QA@Com
I have boxes that ask if I'm Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi!. I'm none of those, although my parents fall under one of those categories!. But then if there was a box saying 'Brown British' I'd probably not tick that eitherWww@Enter-QA@Com
