Should not be a sport!. Hunting is natural for animals and people if the chances are fair!. Using a gun is NOT fair!. Try hunting a deer without one, then hunters might appreciate the animal they have killed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
In a sport your competitor has an equal chance to defeat you and there are rules of fair play!. Hunting is not a sport because animals can't shoot back!.
Unfortunately hunting has become a necessity because of animal over population in decreasing habitats!. Natural preditors are also disapearing!. Although I don't like the idea of hunting the true cruelty would be to let the animals die of starvation and disease!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't do it myself, but yes, I consider it a sport!. I also consider it a necessary conservation effort!. Hunting keeps animal populations to a reasonable level; without them, some animals would starve while others (predators, for example) would multiply out of control (and then starve, because they've depleted their food supply)!. Hunting license fees also go toward conservation!.
Hunters try to be as humane as possible by killing with one shot, so cruelty has nothing to do with it!.

It is certainly a sport!. Whether or not it is cruelty is what you determine to be cruel!. When an animal that doesn't understand death or care about death dies painlessly, is that really cruelty!? I'm not here to answer that question!. Certainly not all hunting results in painless deaths, so I suppose one could consider causing pain somewhat cruel, even if it's for something as mindless as a bird!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's not a sport, but it definitely isn't cruelty!. It's a way of life and a means of human survival, as well as population control to prevent damage to crops!. You're entitled to your opinion even if it is wrong!.

I don't see it as a sport!. But it isn't cruelty!. The animals are going to die somehow, and if you eat them, whats the big deal!. Its helpful in areas where animals are overpopulated!. Without hunting, the local environment would be decimated, killing off even more animals than hunting would!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I come from a family of hunters and I can completely understand hunting (and its usefulness); however, I do NOT see it as a sport and disagree with those who do!.

I am an avid hunter!. I do it for ritual, food, furs I use almost everything from the animal that God has blessed me to harvest!. I consider buying a steak at the grocery store to be cruel!. But no I don't consider it a sport!. Sporty as in they have a chance to get away or do me in, but nt a sport!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

no, because it used to be a way to survive!. native americans used every single part of an animal bone to fat!. and respected the animal and thanked it for its sacrifice!. but now all these stupid americans do is go and kill a ton of animals to extinxtion!. not using anything and leaving it to rott sometimes!. or jsut eating the meat!. my opion!. animal cruelty!. crime against nature!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am not a big fan of hunting!. I do not hunt!. I do not like to hear about it or see pictures of it!. However, I do eat meat!. No!. I do not think of it as a sport!. I grew up in a family where hunting was the normal way to obtain meat!. There were seven of us to feed and we did not have much money!. My Dad, after getting paid on Fri would be at the bar and not even come home until Sunday night because he had to be at work on monday!. My brothers hunted thus supplying our family with food!. If it was not for them we would have starved!. All the paycheck went for Dad's liquor habit!.
As to shootin' down for fun!. No, I do not like people who kill just for the sake of killing!. It just tells me what kind of people they are!. A lot of guys I know think it is macho - but it is not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I consider it a sport a lot more than when people consider shopping a hobby!. Keep in mind there are different types of hunting; there are those hunters that kill only what they can use/consume and those that just want a trophy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's also necessary for population control!. It is an ecological danger to have too many of a species around, as that would drastically tip the scale of predator and prey populations!. Which would result in several animals dying out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
