The Friday Rock Show remember that in the 80's and more recently he'd been on VH1, R.I.p.

What a cool old guy :). I remember seeing him on VH1 just before he died - unless the episode was an old, recorded one. Born Richard Anthony Crispian Francis Prew Hope-Weston (thanks wiki), he never seemed one to yearn for the posh life. His life seems to have been one mainly forced on him: he goes to DJ in the US, and has the name Tommy Vance thrust upon him by someone else's absence; he would probably have remained in the US, and become a HUGE legend, if Vietnam hadn't scared him.
