How could I improve my performance as an area supervisor of the Broadcasting Company?

First of all -- with this post being in the section "Radio" -- I am assuming that this is the media that we are speaking of .....

So, as an area supervisor, it is most likely your job to see that the "bottom line" is as profitable as possible and that the day-to-day business OF this company runs smoothly with as few "glinches" as can be ..... Right ?

Within the industry of radio -- your advertising dollars are the meat of the matter --- and depending upon the programing that you do on your station (s) --- the products and services that are advertised with you are going to come your way through the popularity (ratings) of your programing !! And, the ratings will only come when and if you are providing the public at large -- a MAJOR dose of what they are looking for !!
So, my suggestion here, would be three fold ---
First, make damn sure that the programing is the absolute creme-de-la-creme as you can make it for the demographics of your slice of the market !! Do this by way of creating a GREAT work envoirnment for your staff and personnel -- make them THRILLED to be a part of your organization -- happy people produce better product !! Then, as you build the ratings -- have your account sales personnel go after those middle market people that are on the edge of growth, but are very seldom approached by media sales people because they are SO busy chasing after the bigger accounts !!!

SO, in summary -- the three points
improve programing ---- improve workplace morale and well being -- go after the middle market accounts !!
