I should clarify, i`m talking about Radio 1 who send their DJ`s out there for a week.

Often Times Radio stations who broadcast from Resorts or anywhere is there way of advertsing. The resort company is probably paying for there trip or where ever they have to go.

Now that you say Radio1, there national world wide, so who knows. Maybe BBC wants them to have some time off away from the studios.
