Answers:

Cumulus is the name of a big public corporation that owns a lot of radio stations all over the US; mostly in small to medium cities (plus Houston and Atlanta). So, when you hear: "WXYZ, a Cumulus Broadcast Station." That's them identifying themselves according to FCC (Federal Communication Commission) rules.

If you like their stations and think they are well-run, you can buy stock in the company. The ticker symbol is CMLS. The president/CEO is Lew Dickey, a very bright and nice guy originally from Ohio. He now lives in Atlanta at Headquarters.

They are one of the few big groups of stations that has managed to keep family in the business. Lew, Jr. is the big boss in charge of everything. Lew's Dad (Lew, Sr.) is pretty much retired, Lew's brother John handles the programming (what songs are played, which station plays which types of songs, etc).

If you have any other ?s about them in your city you can email me a private message and I'll do my best to answer it. I know Lew, John and a lot of the rest of the gang. I can also tell you which stations they own in your town.
