Radio Stations in Spanish?!

Radio Stations in Spanish?

I live in California and have noticed that there are many, many more radio broadcasts in spanish than in english. Even moreso when you start leaving major cities. I also notice that most of them come in more clear than the english stations. Does anyone know why this is?

It's simple-many people like their radio in Spanish and station owners can make a nice profit broadcasting in that language. If there was a profit to be made with a Klingon station, someone would do it.
Other stations rent out blocks of time to different groups who speak all different languages...the station makes money and listeners get programming they enjoy.
