Will a radio bought in the work fine in the UK? i.e. Will it pick up the correct range of broadcasts?


Answers:

The radio should be fine if it is analogue. The FM, LW, MW and SW frequencies are pretty much universal around the world. However as mentioned above, DAB is a bit more specific. To use DAB in the UK it has to be able to tune into 'band 3' DAB frequencies.

Beware that some DAB radios on sale in the UK are limited to 'band 3' frequencies and don't currently support the newer DAB+ system. This may be problematic if you want to use the radio abroad.
