XM, Sirius, COMMERCIALS?!

Question:

XM, Sirius, COMMERCIALS?

yep, the first regular commercial I heard on 66 just happend. Anyone have any good suggestions on how to rip tracks, off the radio, onto my computer? (to put on my Ipod) I'm cancelling XM before July. Just so you all know, I called customer service, and it's happening, commercials are now on all stations, or at least very soon. I heard this is how cable TV worked, but radio, music is different. Satellite radio will be out of business soon. Sirius, if it even merges now with xm, won't happen now until the end of the year (customer service said). But it should all be out of business by then. Ipods RULE

Answers:

Your mistake, choosing XM over Sirius.
Obviously you must know that most radio stations broadcast over the internet as well, and there is software you can purchase that will allow you to record anything you are listening to on your computer.
I'd be happy if Sirius never merges with XM. Plenty of good music on Sirius. I don't need XM and their commercials and inferior programming.
Ipods do not rule. My Zen is better. But neither will keep you up-to-date with new music. You need to listen to the radio for that. And commercial radio will only play junk, and lots of commercials, and dj's that won't shut up.
My suggestion to you is to get a Sirius. They have one now that can record what is being played, and is portable like an ipod.
