Analogue and Digital Radio, accurate time?!

Question:

Analogue and Digital Radio, accurate time?

If you listen to an Analogue and Digital radio at the same time the digital radio lags behind by about 1 1/2 seconds, this is due to the fact that digial has to be compressed and unscrambled, so which one has the correct time signal when it comes to the beeps for the news etc, preseumably the Analogue as it goes out first

Answers:

Actually, both analogue, and digital signals are subject to delays due to delays caused by transmission processes.

However, the analogue signal would be closer to "real time" because it is processed a little less than the digital signal.

The average listener would not usually notice the difference between the two.
