How do radio stations hold the beginning of the songs when they talk?!

Question:

How do radio stations hold the beginning of the songs when they talk?

You know, when you listen to the radio...they switch the songs and then talk for a while and as soon as they are done talking, the words on the song start going. How do they do this?

Answers:

Usually they have a timer that tells them how long they song has been playing and the song info they are provided has the length of the intro (Pre-lyrics) so they can time their comments to end just before the singing starts. A good DJ can go right up to the last second.
