How can I pick up AM radio stations better in a building??!
Question:
How can I pick up AM radio stations better in a building??
I work in the interior of a 4 story building and would like to listen to sports talk radio while I work. However, my radio gets a lot of static from the building, metal cabinets, equipment, etc.
What can I do to get better reception??
Answers:
if your in the middle of the building not near any windows then you need a module that will convert the AM single to FM, or one that will pick up the FM signal and amplify it to an unused FM station.
when i worked in a large building we would always want to get the hockey game on our radios, but the AM signal cant get through. so he put this module near a window and it broadcasted the AM signal on an unused FM station, ie 87.9. i think he got one of these at radioshack, ask the tech guys there and they should be able to help you.
