Did Howard Stern show the FCC by going to satellite radio or did the FCC show Howard Stern?

All the previous posts make sense, but since I dont have satellite radio, it seems like he is out of the public eye. Not even magazine write ups anymore. Seems the FCC got Howard out of getting mainstream attention, but also Howard did not go down and is still doing his thing for those willing to subscribe to satellite radio. Not sure if the FCC should have started up. Howard's show could be very funny. There were times I found it very offensive and turned it off thinking he went too far. But then there were times I would listen again and laugh out loud while driving and listening. We lost that freedom to choose.
