BBC Radio 4 enthusiasts, what makes you switch off?
If I am not watching something on TV, or doing something else which prevents me listening to BBC radio 4, then very few things get me to switch it off while I can listen. Hymms on a Sunday morning have that effect, but the religious programes can still interest me. Yesterdays 'Spitting Bars' about ex prisioners who became successful as rap stars, made me turn off, because they, quite rightly kept playing their raps, and I don't like raps. It is unusual for something mid week to make me turn it off.
What makes you switch Radio 4 off?
Answers:
Any play that is set in the period from 1500 to 1850
any play that is about Northern Ireland
Saturday mornig Politics ... don't they do enough all the week without pontificating on the week end as well
