Hush 1968 - forever song?!

Question:

Hush 1968 - forever song?

Das Lied - Hush 1968?

Naa na na naa na na naa na na naa
I got a certain little girl, she's on my mind
No doubt about it, she looks so fine
She's the best girl that I ever had
Sometimes she's gonna make me feel so bad

Naa na na naa na na naa na na naa
Naa na na naa na na naa na na naa

Hush hush - I thought I heard her calling my name now
Hush hush - She broke my heart but I love her just the same now
Hush hush - I thought I heard her calling my name now
Hush hush - I need your love and I'm not to blame now

Love love - They got it early in the morning
Love love - They got it late in the evening
Love love - Well I want that needing
Love love - Oh I gotta get ahead of it

She's got a love like quicksand
Only took one touch of her hand
Blow my mind and I'm in so deep
That I can't eat and I can't sleep

Naa na na naa na na naa na na naa
Naa na na naa na na naa na na naa

which Rockband did the best Version?

Answers: Deep Purple. The song was written by Joe South for Billy Joe Royal, originally to be a country song.

HA! It became a rock classic. Deep Purple got to #4 (Sept '68 "BillBoard") on the Charts, BJR only made it like #52.

Haven't heard that song in years, played it about a million times, thanks for the memory jangle
-a guy named duh Deep Purple without a doubt. Blackmores guitaring is superb. Deep purple did the best version, It was actually written by Joe South and reached number 5 in the US in 68, The best version for me was the live jam version from the "nobodys perfect" album. I liked the Kula Shaker version, but you can't beat the original Purple lineup. The pop singer Billy Joe Royal originally sang this song, written by Joe South.

In 1968, Deep Purple covered the version you refer to, as well as Neil Diamond's "Kentucky Woman".
