regards x kitti x How can you tell how popular a station is compared to another? People might only listen to a station because the reception is clear, or they aren't in control of the radio and have to listen to what someone else chooses.
With some people, I bet Virgin Radio is very popular. Others, probably like Radio 2. The point is that having two stations gives listeners the choice. If there was no Virgin, then people would be forced to listen to Radio 2, and they might not like that. I think R2 is the more popular station, in fact i'm sure they have more listeners than R1! All this is trivial though, as the best staion at the moment is BBC6Music, on digital, especially Jon Holmes show! Virgin are well better than Radio 2, so what half Radio 2 aren't celebrities, yeah they used 2 be on the telly 20 years ago. Virgin plays good music, the only reason Radio 2 is more popular because that broadcasts to the whole nation on F.M. so people can listen to it in there car, you can only get Virgin in london if you're in your car.
