Question: That wouldn't be that hard. If you take by implication that the charts would reflect airplay, go to the charts.

Try "music charts" or "top-100" in your favorite search engine and see what pops up.

As a last resort, go to www.billboard.com. Go to the contact us section and email the charts editor. I don't want to publish it here, but it's easy enough to find. If you ask nicely and have a legitimate reason for asking (school asssignment or such) he might be persuaded to email you the International Top-100 chart for that time period. Or the US Hot-100 (if your interest is just the States).

That would be the closest you can get without getting actual logs from one of the monitoring services - which would require a subscription.

...on every station all over the world? That would be a mighty big list!

if your talking globally no such list.
you can look up various list for the year that people was buying and what was in the charts
