I am looking for a radio for my kitchen?!

Question: I do not have a lot of money and not much space in terms of kitchen surface. Could anyone recommend a compact radio with good enough sound for me to listen to while creating!

UK only please. Thanx. If you could include a rough estimate for price, I would be grateful.

anything from 4.99 upwards

theres some at walmart for 6.99

Try Argos they do small cheap radios

www.argos.co.uk

Maplin sell them; but if it's likely to get splashed, you'd be better off getting a shower radio. Amazon have a few. Make sure you get one you can tune in yourself - there are a lot of cheap ones about that have a 'scan button' and you can't tell what station it's on.

Funilly enough, my parents are selling one on ebay....it sticks to the bottom of your wall cupbords, or whever else you want to put it and it has the added bonus of 3 lights. Its pretty awsome. I have one myself! It doesnt look much, but you cant see it really as its stuck to your cabnet. Try looking for it on ebay the seller is db7bubbles if that helps and its cheap as chips!

I'm not in the UK, but there are many brands of under-the-counter radios. I have a GE Spacemaker, but Black & Decker, along with other companies, all manufacture them. I like mine a lot. It has a radio plus CD player. Search on line to see what's out there. They're not terribly expensive.

Argos has one half price now.
DAB (digital radio) ALBA with 20 channels memory £17.49
LOOK IN CLEARANCE

Then do it spaceman.

Get a digital clock radio. It's cheap and easily replaced. It's movable to find the sweet spot for any signal. It has an alarm for timing haggis in the oven. For a bit or two more you can find one with a CD player.

Cost: $5-$15 US (which lately is only about a pound)

Or get a Walkman designed for runners and joggers. They have one that straps to your upper arm, is light and offers pretty awesome reception for an awful friendly price.

Cost: $15-$25 US (which lately is around 2 pounds)
