How best to catch up on Technician's license quick?!

Question: I took a Technician class workshop about six years ago and passed the exam and earned the license. I never bought a radio and haven't been on the air since by myself. I have the opportunity to use a radio when I go camping on top a mountain in a few months and I would like to be able to use the radio there. How best to catch up and be ready to operate the station and not mess up? Thanks!

Radio Shack did at one time sell a book on this around $10.
The main thing is to remember to give your call sign at regular intervals and use good judgment in talking. Also, you not operating a Radio Music or Talk show. Most people just talk regular and you not really use the "10-4 Good Buddy" talk. I would use the lower power setting to conserve the battery.
You should have a License on the wall of your house, this your base station. Then you also have a license you carry in your pocket, this your mobile station.
Normally, when mobile, I give my call sign as "Whatever Mobile". I not even remember how often, but, usually say about 5 minute intervals. I thinking it required every 10, but, 5 I know is good.

View the different websites offering good operator habits such as Arrl.org would be my suggestion other than what was offered before me

Also Snagelfritz.. if that's your callsign, you need to renew it....
