What should i ask?!

Question: while delivering a 3 minute speech in the class to my class fellows, my teacher rates us basically for how much we engage the audience.....and the topic that i got is "radio journalism".

can anyone tell me some small questions that i can ask the audience while doing the speech....they are not supposed to answer it....just to give them some food for thought.....

Do you think the journo scum are good at what they do?

tell them to take their ritalin pills and listen closely....

do you understand what I'm saying?

It is not enough for you to ask questions to your audience to engage them to listen to your speech. Although it might help, but it will be better if you present it in an interesting way. You can draft the questions according to the topics you are going to present. Good Luck

Try the political boundaries and the dangerous lengths that journalists go through to just get a 3min story in the first place , i mean that british journailst was knapped and nearly killed in the uk althou months and months of us british and scots and american journailst help to free him they did let him go although i think there was government help - however they did it we will not know ever..

Hope this helps, Jen

Some food for thought questions:

Have you considered how trustworthy and reliable news on radio is compared to that of TV or newspapers?

Would you believe someone is really telling the truth on radio just by the sound of their voice, or do you think an image/quote in the paper or a newsgrab on TV would make it easier to determine whether that person is being honest?

Just do stuff like: Does anyone know any famous journelists? What stations for you? How much of an impression do radio journelists have on you? Good luck haha. And remeber to keep eye contact

"how much money do you think they make" "do you think they report the truth" "how much hands on experience do they get" "who has things to gain from radio journalists" "who supports radio journalists" "where does funding come from" and i agree w/ the "do they know famous ones, can they name any local personalities, " etc.
