Radio in the late 1940's?!
Question: In the late 1940's, I listened to a radio broadcast that began..."Why do I love you? I love you not only for what you are but for what you make of me." I can't recall if these words are from a song, a poem or what. What I need is the author, the name of the piece, if possible, the name of the performer.

I did a little research and found the poem.

I don't know who the performer was. If my dad were still alive he would probably know, as he was a performer radio performer in the post-war years (Hawaian guitar)
