Satelite Radio on my CD Deck?!

Question: I have a cheap $89 Kenwood cd deck in my car. I am interested in XM radio but I am not sure if my deck supports it.

On the deck it says Sat Radio Ready but does not say XM or Sirius, what do you guys think???

Kenwood supports both XM and Sirius, however, you can pick one, it's going to require extra parts though. You're looking at about $100 for parts plus installation, depending on where you go. I'm assuming that you bought the deck from Best Buy, since Circuit City doesn't carry it, whatever the case, take your car to Best Buy and tell them you want to get the Satellite radio going in your car, they'll sell you two adapters and charge an installation fee and you'll pretty much be set. After that, you simply have to activate your adapter through either XM or Sirius and subsribe, then you'll be listening to crystal clear radio!!!

Here are the required parts...

If it says satellite ready, there should be either a female mini plug so you can plug in your MP3; or cassette slot so you can use an adapter. If there's a radio built in, you can use an FM transceiver. It shouldn't matter if it's XM or Sirius.
Good luck!
