Worldwide Radio?!
Question: In the 1960's my Dad had a huge radio that he spent hours tuning in to all the worldwide stations. We lived in London, and he was spanish, so he tuned in spanish stations -I would like to get a similar thing, but what is the modern equivalent of this?

Ah yes, those big old 60's shortwave radios, glowing with that eerie orange glow from the vaccum tubes insides. Sounds familar from my childhood, except it was me that was doing the listening.
Well, they are still called shortwave radios (sometimes World Band radio) but they are now a lot smaller and cheaper. And they no longer give off enough heat to warm a small room.

I think something else equivalent would have to be satellite radio. Try going to www.SatelliteSweeps.com
below is a link to some world band radios.
but with more digital stations on line why not listen on here without having to buy another set?
