Are there other Morning Radio Personalities out there that think they're fun!
Question: I'm in Sacramento, CA - it seems some duets & trios who have daily morning programes (monday to friday). Are so into themselves that they laugh at their own jokes regardless of how tactless their comments are about others (and insulting to other cultures). Sometimes they ramble on endlessly over the most banal issues. I've stopped tuning to those radio stations altogether, but my co-workers sometimes tune-in to those stations for the music, that seldom gets air-time because of those mindless chatterbox personalities.
They say they like the music format, "After those - uh, people - go off the air". That they too are just waiting for them to just: Shut-Up and Go Home. Its bad enough that some of the commercials are as obnoxious or worse.
Rude, Arrogant & Disgusting air dialogue isn't cool, and how the male personalities degrade & degenerate women.
Its not funny anymore, really - it isn't.

I dont care about them being insulting to anyone or degrading anyone. I just find morning Disc Jockies extremely unfunny. And you're right, they seem to find themselves much more funny than anyone else. Laughing at their own jokes for long periods of time. I've heard them countless times cut into a song thats barely half way through and start yammering on about nothing. I listened to two guys one morning as they surfed E-bay! Telling the listeners the so called funny stuff they found on there. Who wants to listen to people talk about surfing e-bay?
When will somebody start a station that is JUST music and ads? Wouldn't you save money by not paying on air personalities? Just have some dope in there putting music on.
I understand. You're in a market that trains second string personalities. A lot of (eventually) great jocks have come out of Sacramento. But it takes time. Just as in sports and most other endeavors where talent is involved, the talent has to be nurtured, learn their craft and move up.
You have a button n front of you and you can tune to one of the other live stations, satellite or your own playlists from your personal stash of music on CDs until the rookies bail at ten.
Or you could move to LA - no guarantees they'll be that much better, but there's always the ocean!
