How can our small church set up a radio broadcast in local area?!

Question: We would like to somehow set up a localized radio broadcast live of the sermon each Sunday. This way, Nursery workers and children's workers on the other side of the building (and even neighbors to the church) can tune to a certain station to check in on the sermon. This seems possible, and hopefully easier than trying to hard wire something throughout our cement block building.
Thanks!

Easy as Part 15 broadcasting

If you are in the US, there are little transmitters you can buy that will broadcast in either AM or FM radio that will get only a few hundred feet (to a mile depending upon the kit you buy) with audio from talk radio sounding to full am station sound but can be bought pretty cheap and can get the broadcast you want delivered for a few miles.

If you want to try an experiment before the money outlay, contact a local real estate office and ask to borrow a talking house transmitter for a few hours and see if it will work for what you plan on doing.... A real estate agent wanting to make good brownie points in the community who has one may be up to help you with one for a little while to see if it will transmit thru the brick walls good enough

for hints on these radios

That FM transmitter probably won't transmit very far. If you want to cover your town, you might be better off contacting a local FM station to carry your show as a public service. Building a real radio station can be quite expensive.

Make sure you check about licensing and follow part 15. Big fines could apply if you don't. Follow FCC rules!
