How do I go about suppressing injector noise off a Cummins N14 in my mobile HF r!

Question: In my mobile hf equipment in my semi I get a very loud buzz that follows the engine rpm's. The radio is a RCI-2950, I'm using it for 10/11 till I can get propper Hf equipment. I brought it up to my company and they cleaned the batter terminals and changed my alternator. I also installed a filter on the power leads for the radio and a ferrite choke on the extension speaker wires. Someone suggested I put them on the leads for the injector pumps but on the ratshack web site all the comments were that they would do no good. My vhf fm radio does not pick this noise up nor does my music radio. The noise coming from the radio is not only annoying but almost loud enough to hurt your ears even with the volume down, can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to curb the ringin in my ears.

As a ham, I figured you would have tried some of the ham related websites in regards to noise abatement on HF

Step one is Ratshack is how can we sell a cell phone for you today? They basically got out of the real electronics business years ago.. I find their customers sometimes don't understand certain principles unfortuneately

Check this website out:
http://www.k0bg.com/noiseid.html and try to follow some of the hints.. another thing may be a small DSP filter which some have found to help with noise.

If you are having the issue, you may want to ask your mechanic to see if Cummins has come out with a bulletin about the noise (as other truckers would be moaning about the issue interfering with their cb radios also)
