If your firm have a TV licence, this covers radios, regardless of who they belong to.

This is true, you need a licence. Get a walkman ?

As it will be played in a public place, you need a performing rights licence which I believe is £90 per year

Not in Australia you don't.

If you listen to it with headphones you are OK. Otherwise you may be falling foul of the Performing Rights Society licencing. See their website http://www.mcps-prs-alliance.co.uk/Pages...

If they have a license then NO

You do not need a licence for the radio. However if you do not listen though a headset, you will need to get permission for public performance.

no that got abolished years ago but i suggest you leave your radio at home some of your colleagues may not want to hear what you like,if you insist on listening to it get a earphone then they cant hear it only you..
