RCA created the first network called NBC in 1926 and what ultimately became CBS was started in 1927

NBC was actually split up to form NBC and ABC due to anti-trust issues in 1942. (as the NBC red (which became NBC) and NBC Blue (which became ABC in 1945)

CBS was the first of the radio networks, followed by NBC, Mutual, and ABC in the 50's.

I stand corrected, NBC was first by two months in November, 1926, I thought it was the other way around. NBC is the answer, CBS game around in January, 1927.
