Why did the B.B.C nearlly get prosecuted for mrs.dales diary?!

Was it something to do with a Pirate Radio Station country ?? If not then sorry I don't know. Remember my Mum listening to it though when I was little !!

Edit.....10.20am country......Have asked my Mum but she can't remember.........but I'm sure I read somewhere it was something to do with a pirate radio station...I stand by that and if it's wrong it's wrong but would be interested in the answer !!
