Question for FM college disc jockeys.....?!

Question: When you receive a promo copy of a CD, do you like the version that is in the stores, with a plastic jewel box and cover art, or do you prefer a promo version in a cardboard slipcase that you can flip open quickly and not worry about? I've been told by some djs they hate CDs wrapped in plastic, etc....they just want to open them quickly!

It's going to depend on how the station files their source material. Most will copy to use on air and keep the original for dubbing scratched copies. For this they like the original album art and comments, liner notes for infomational purposes. So that means normal packaging. But many labels will forego that in order to get the material out quicker by just putting in a cardboard sleeve.
