That's Slipknot's trademark look is all the gory stuff and the masks.. said it's not to focus on the artist as it is the music

What's weird is, You can see what the lead singer (Corey Taylor) and #4 Jim (Jim Root) look like by watching videos for the sister group Stone Sour.
They hate what humanity has become, and show a mirror to the world using their talents and cover art. if you want a softer feel, go with Stone Sour. It's like a Mini SlipKnoT that's more mainstream.
