yep - any repetitive noise gets right on my nerves... like someone clicking a ballpoint pen up & down, or drumming their fingers... i'm usually a pretty resonable person, but i turn into a raving looney when i hear things like that.

Sometimes - but a quick fix is to tie one end of a flannel or dishcloth round the tap so's the other end lies in the sink. The water will ooze down the cloth and not drip.
Call the plumber in the morning.

yes.tie some string around the tap for it to run down or my mum used to use a wooden spoon with the handle up the tap?! does that make sense?!
