Will hit me in my wheel house,,,, Grew up in front of a radio.
Comedys,, Fibber McGee and Molley, Burns and Allen,
Great Gildersleeve, Baby Snooks, Lux Radio theater,
Jack Benny and Rodchester, Dagwood and Blondie, Red
Skelton, Ma and Pa Kettle,

Adventure shows,, Tarzan, Lone Ranger, Gene Autrys Melody Ranch, Roy Rogers and the Dbl RR Bar Ranch,
Gunsmoke, Green Hornet, Terry and the Pirates, The
Phantom.

Dramas The Shadow, The Sheriff, just for a few,, Its was
the most amazing time for a kid to sit in front of a crosley
radio and just melt into the venue he or she was listening
to. Nothing will ever replace it.

I wasn't around back then, but I love listening to Jack Benny's radio shows.

bob hope show amos and andy george burns and gracie allan what a team......I was not around either but I love to collect the old radio shows and old movies..

My dad would work on his friend's radio's so that was fun time for us.only problem just when we were into a program it would What my dad called "shorten out" but I was so young I don't know any one show we listen too.I was a daddy's girl just being with him was most likely the fun of it for me. I have raked my brain and can not come up with nothing..I just know it was fun thing for me. You must remember I was a blond even as a child. could that be the problem?. still.Laughing.

Let me see now as I walk down memory lane I was young but still remember the Shadow ( the Shadow knows) Amos and Andy (of course we had no idea it was two white guys) and of course Burns and Allen (say good night Gracie). Radio made us run the theater in our minds. We pictured what the radio was saying. I can still hear the door on Inner Sanctum and picture someone very dangerous behind it like Vincent Price. Ah yes those were the days but ah now these are the days. Make the most and the best of whatever time you are living in.

Sky King , The Creaking Door , Inner Sanctum , Amos & Andy
