Why doesn't radio have a watershed?!

Question: Are you listening to Radio One at the moment? They are talking about sex, and the issues they're discussing really couldn't be covered in more sexually explicit detail. Fair enough, it's late, got no problem with that. But about half an hour ago one of them said the f-word, and was berated by both her other colleagues and asked to apologise!

Why is it that after nine o'clock, people on TV are allowed to be as wonderfully filthy as they please, but this rule has never been applied to radio?

In radio, the rules apply ALL the time, not just after a certain time. What can be broadcast after a certain time on TV can NEVER be broadcast in radio.

it does, if they broke the rules believe me the governing body would come down on them hard
