I think she gives un realistic and very bad advice. I also assume if you disagree with her, your call vanishes

She had more credibility before those naked pictures showed up.
I have deep respect for her. I have listened to her radio program on and off for several years now. I have read 5 of her books. From all the bashing she takes, I'm amazed at how blind people are to her message: Be strong. Use your head. Do the right thing.
On her radio program she has maybe 90 seconds to try to help any one person. She has to be abrupt with them or she'd never get to it. That abruptness is interpreted as rudeness, but she's really doing her callers a favor. I've heard a hundred calls where the caller just wanted to make excuses or whine. They wouldn't get anywhere if Dr. Laura didn't cut them off.
If you haven't already, you should read one of her "10 Stupid Things" books. I gave my daughters copies of "10 Stupid Things Women Do to Mess Up Their Lives." The common-sense truths the books contain revolutionized their lives and have helped them to make good decisions.
Dr. Laura is all about strength. The people who call her are calling from the scene of the train wrecks...
I can't stand her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... thou I would love to hear her and Tom Leykis on the radio at the same time. I think that would be fun to Liston to.. But other wise I turn off KOGO and KFI when she is on........

I've never liked her or her advice. I think she is permanently constipated.
Dr Joy Browne is better. she doesn't yell at people like Dr. Laura and isn't nearly as annoying. I have listened to both in the New York area for a while and just like Dr Joy's advice better.
