Question: I'm looking for a Radio cooking and/or food show broadcast in Pittsburgh!.!?
Ok, heres the deal!. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and I have yet to find either an AM or an FM radiostation in the area that has any food and/or cooking related shows!. Please help!. I've scoured the internet looking for something on this but I've come up dry!. Please help!.

I know that a while back WJAS had a show early Saturday, or Sunday morning (I'm talking real early!.!.!. 6am or somewhere around there) It was sponsored by the guy who owns the Primadona restaurant in "The Rocks!." It was more or less a 1/2 hour infomercial for his restaurant!. Other than that, there have been a few smaller stations on the fringe of the Pittsburgh market that have had various Chef's come in once or twice a month to do half hour cooking programs!. WMBS am, and the now dark WCVI both had cooking programs!.
Oh, I just remembered KDKA now does a program sponsored by the Khun's (Possibly spelled wrong) supermarket on either Saturday, or Sunday morning dealing with cooking, and food!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

But just as a comment (and his answer backs this up), you probably won't find a cooking show in any major market unless it's time-brokered (as Jam mentions)!. And then only on smaller, usually AM, stations licensed outside the big city!. They're the ones who need the money and will sell time to an individual or company with the expectation and tacit agreement that they will then sell their own commercials within the show!.
Obviously they'll try to make a profit - or break even for the promotional value!. But it's rare and most of those shows disappear after the initial contract period wears off!.
Just a bit of real-life radio for those who have an interest in the subject!.
