There are a number of alternate Internet stations to download or use to listen to their playlists or create your own!. Many of these are available in the UK - soe are not!.
I prefer iTunes, Windows Media Player or AOL because they are big companies that are not going to clutter up your computer (well, with the possible exception of AOL)!. They are all free and all offer an astounding array of choices!.
The following sites will have live broadcasts or allow you to set up a custom station to your taste (below are download sites for internet players with lots of stations):

Yahoo has a service very similar and even better in my opinion ad you already have a yahoo account so you don't even have to sign up for anything just go to yahoo music and click on create your own radio station!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

im a fan of launch!.com!. Its a yahoo site, missing alot of obscure bands but has a better selection than others!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
