Go back the the stations' websites, get the addresses!. Dress nicely!. Prepare and bring a resume and show up at the front desk of each of the stations where you might want to work!.

Ask to see the person in charge of hiring administrative people!. While waiting, study the current person behind the reception desk - that's the one who's job you want, so be discreet!. If that person seems to bright and sunny and knows every body there, maybe you learn something, but they'll only promise to keep your resume on file!.

If the receptionist has a bad attitude, gossips with other empoyees and answers the phone without much energy, you may have a chance!.

The receptionist is the first contact most people have with any business - so it's importantt that the right impression is given - most managers consider it an important job, even though it doesn't pay much!. So, without going overboard, be upbeat during any interviews!.

Don't criticize the current recptionist, if they have a problem they probably know it!.

Realistically your chances are not great!. It's a radio station!. Everybody wants to work in "show biz," so they get a lot of applications!. However if you are attractive, nicely dressed!. well spoken and enthusiastic - ya never know!.

Oh, whether you get the job or not, write a nice note (snail mail) to any of the people you are able to see (collect business cards whenever possible) - there will be many stations that will just have you fill out an application and/or leave your resume and not have a person available to speak with you!. So be careful of what you put in "job objective" because the receptionist will likely see it!.
Good Luck!
