What are the radio guys called?!

Question: What are the radio guys called!?
For example on TV they say, "I'm your host Regis Philmin!." But what do you call the guy on radio stations who says, "Caller 9 has just won a free t-shirt!"!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Jock is the preferred among US air personalities who consider themselves "radio guys" (just like in your question), with guys being asexual!. also: Jox (plural), air talent, DJ, disk jockey, announcer, voice talent, host, anchor, second-banana and a few others!.

Specifically: The Morning Guy(s) or "wake-ups," the Midday Guy; Afternoon (or PM) Driver; Night Guy (or just "nights") and all-night guy (or "all nights); weekender, swing shift and vacation fill-in dweeb!.

If I think of any more, I'll do an edit!.

In the UK and other of the former colonies it's "presenter!."

Disc Jockeys, DJs, a wonderful term that has held up despite the original discs being long gone, even the compact discs!. The majority of stations now play all music and commercials from computer databases!. Even the DJ can record their voice in between songs if they are pressed for time (say, a sales executive has a high paying ad client in and you're yanked to be the producer!.)

Staffs have been drastically reduced, so this is not at all uncommon!.

I still like the sound of DJ!.

Other terms: calling your intern "Goat Boy"

The Sales Babes!. Most are women with business degrees!.

Board Op- usually a college kid majoring in MassComm stuck running the audio board during live sporting events!.

Producer- a catch-all for "I sit on my butt in a recording studio, surfing the net and sending emails until a client comes in!."

Production/Traffic Director- the poor sod who accepts the thankless job of distributing work orders for commercial production, usually with their doorway crammed with anxious sales babes waving orders, with angry DJs standing behind them whining "I want to go HOME"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Or "radio personality!." ;o)Www@Enter-QA@Com
