Xm radio from tv to computer?!
Question: Xm radio from tv to computer!?
i have a direct tv and the music channels i get are xm radio channels is ther anyway i can listen to the xm radio on the computer or if i buy it for my car play it in the car!? i dnt kno if having it on direct tv counts for having it any other way!. thnx for the helpWww@Enter-QA@Com

You might have some success running from the TV's (or amp's) "audio out" to the computer's "audio in" - but why!? If you can do that, you can probably just run it to a decent pair of speakers!. Unless you mean transfer the music to your computer for listening later!? If that's the case, no!. You have to buy your music so the artists can feed thier families!.
Kinda like if someone's Dad came home and said, "Well, guys, I didn't make any money at the store today, because a bunch of kids had these electronic gizmos that just let them take the stuff for free - so they cleaned me plumb out of bread, milk and eggs!."
Granted The Jonas Brothers still make a lot of money - more than someone who works in a grocery store - buth they have to eat, too - and pay their employees!. So I encourage all our folks here on the radio board to please pay the 99 cents!. Then maybe the labels will leave radio alone!. But I digress!.
As to the car, a subscription to XM (or Sirius) is about $13/MO!. Once you subscribe, you can listen to certain stations on your computer for free - but you still can't record them legally or with any quality!.
But you can select a receiver that will allow you to plug into your car and a home docking station that allows you to move it back and forth (to and fro)!. Heck, that lil 'ol $13 bux a month gets you a lot of stuff!.
You should think about doing it!. Even if you have to buy a used receiver online!. Check out a used Sky-Fi with a home docking station, cigarette-lighter adapter and cassette or FM transfer unit!. They run about $20-$40 bux on eBay (I just checked - below)!.
