No as FM transmissions only have a limited range!.
I assume that you mean getting local radio from, say, London in Yorkshire!.
FM is intended as a short range thing but in good quality!.
Obviously any FM can go with you as you go around the country and in fact the world and work!.

No as FM has a limited range this is why car radio re-tune to the best frequency during a journey!. Have you considered a wifi radio such as the Pure Evoke Flow check it out http://www!.pure!.com/products/product!.asp!.!.!.
