What does "joined in progress" mean?!
Question: What does "joined in progress" mean!?
I live in Hawaii and am always working during Monday Night Football!. I usually listen to the game via radio but today I cannot because the radio station is playing the NLCS game instead!. The newspaper lists both MNF and NLCS as being on the same radio station at the same time!. However, it is saying that the football game is "(in progress)!."

It means the program the network is beginning to feed you has started - before they were able to start broadcasting to you!. In the case you describe, they had to finish the NLCS game before starting the MNF game!. Thus, "joined in progress!." The MNF game is already in progress when you finally receive it!.
Usually nothing of importance has happened in the MNF game, so they join in progress so's not to completely screw up their schedule!. If something miraculous happened in the first few minutes (or whatever time you missed) they might tape-delay it (like you do when recording a show with your cable box or TIVO)!.
