I've been doing some searching for you and found this!.
'If you're referring to BBC Radio 1, the answer is no!. You need to user Real Player or, if you're in the U!.K!., you can also use Windows Media Player!. The BBC podcasts, many of which are available through iTunes, can be played with iTunes!.'

They arent allowing apple to have the station as the y transmit through the iplayer for the bbc!. The only thing they are allowing apple to have is the podcasts, its all to do with money and getting people to visit their own websiteWww@Enter-QA@Com
