Question: Does Stephen Fry REALLY drive a London black cab or is it just for the show!?
Answers:
Yes, he really drives a London Black cab!. It was bought originally to beat the congestion charges and such in London and also to be allowed to use bus lanes when driving about although this is technically not legal but who really checks cab drivers identities!?

The London cab seems to be the latest trend with celebrities!. Stephen Fry was said to have one to drive around in as he avoided getting parking tickets, he said “I sometimes park it on taxi stands all day and no one notices!.”

"A familiar sight on the capital’s streets behind the wheel of his very own former London taxi for a number of years, Fry has since taken his 1988 model (complete with left-hand drive and “FRY” proudly emblazoned atop the roof of the car) across America for a six-part travel series entitled Stephen Fry In America!. Yes, he does drive a black cab but, as it isn't licensed as a Hackney Carriage he can't pick up paying passengers!.

They are very practical vehicles in the city-centre as they have a very small turning circle, allowing U-turns where a car would need to do a three-point turn!.

Licensed taxis are also allowed to use bus-lanes and make right turns at some junctions barred to cars, but I'm sure Stephen would never do anything illegal!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
