If this is your passion go for it!. I would listen to your station!. I love indie!. College radio in the early to mid 90s was the best in my humble opinion!. Do something great and bring it back for all of us Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's out there but they are hard to find!.!.!.!. many of these stations are as of late turned over to produce more donation (more $$$$) revenue as NPR affliates in the US (news/talk/Classical that is non commercial and has a wider range of Listeners than the progressive rock you are looking for)

Try many of the medium town colleges (Like in the non BCS categories) as many stream the hometown college station online and many run College and/or indie stations as such

For instance one station that plays college rock in my native state of Louisiana is http://www!.kxul!.com/ which is the college rock station of the University of Louisiana at Monroe

Surprisingly, a research of another website (Knwd's) turned up somethings maybe to your liking:

It isn't dead!. It just has to fight for it's life every quarter!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No!. If you look at the ratings the stations that properly staff, with good on air talent seem to dominate those who simply record!. That said radio is not and easy industry to make money in!. Unless you are going to be the general manager of a station cluster, or the PD of a large station, or have the luck and listenership to get syndicated you aren't going to make all that much!.
