When did satellite radio debut!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Frequency Modulated radio (FM) I believe made it a a consumer format in the late forties, early fifties!. Satellite radio has been in existence since the sixties (space program radio) Availability to consumers has been only the last seven or eight years (that's open to debate)!. Amplitude modulated radio (AM) has been around as a consumer format since the early 1900'sWww@Enter-QA@Com

I think Maddog's technically right on the dates!. However FM was considered sort of a stepchild to the big AM stations until the late '60s and early '70s when rock music made fidelity an issue!. It wa stereo and it sounded great compared to AM!. Prior to then FM was primarily used as a vehicle for classical and EZ listening music!.

When the TO-40 and Album Rock guys got ahold of FM - look out! It just exploded from there!.
